Off to the Abbots Ripton Hall Garden Show on Sunday. Georgeous gardens, classy stalls and great food. Here's a small selection of what we saw.

After a quick look around the vendors' stalls Becky, Linda and me made for the tea and cakes in front of the 18th century Abbots Ripton Hall, seated at rather fine tables. The tea stall was run like a military operation by the WI. |

Then off we shot around the beautiful gardens. Up the perennial borders first. |
Another view of the same borders looking back towards the Hall. |
Here's just one of the georgeous roses in bloom, this one Rosa 'Veilchenblau', a rather unusual purple. |
Part of the formal gardens, with irises not yet in flower. |
How lucky to have a tennis pavilion like this! |
Some georgeous views of bridges over the stream. |
Here's another. |
View across the lake to the boating pavilion. |
Along the lake some interesting wood structures. |
Here's some more. |

As well as really interesting vendors stalls with plants, food, clothes and more there were vintage agricultural equipment, cars and bikes. Here's a magnificent penny farthing. |
