Allotment update February 2014

Still lots of rain in February, so not much progress on anything. At least it's been really mild as well, not a single frost all month.

An early bonus... pea twigs from a trimmed hedge on the site.

Used some to prop up the broad beans raised at home.

Quite a few sheds blown over by high winds mid month.

Caused yet another glass pane to blow out of the greenhouse.

Grandsons helped start the new pond, which by month end was filling up.

Some colour on the plot, marigolds flowering.

More flowers, daisies.

Colour also provided by another of the wonderful allotment sunsets.

Plenty of buds on one of the relocated apple trees.

With March fast approaching, still got plenty of leeks to distribute.

So the beds not looking much different from last month.

Just a few less leeks and some broad beans in the right hand bed.
